This plan is a slower build up to a 10k race and is for someone who is just starting out with running. Maybe you have ran your first 5k and you are ready to tackle a 10k or maybe you just want to jump right into the 10k. The goal of this training is to build up your endurance so the way we do this is by interval training. Meaning walking/ running intervals. The end goal of training is for you to complete the 10k with minimal walking.
